The keynote by the former president of Germany Köhler is outstanding, unsettling and thought provoking. I spoke with his staff. He wrote it himself, as I already noticed a year ago when the theme was ALBERT SCHWEIZER.... Lots of food for thought, interesting metaphors and insights, worthwhile to explore and question in depth, and revisit our mindsets and blindspots.
An idea beside: Maybe we should get such experienced contributors into a conversation format where ad-hoc need ideas and insights can be born and we can sit at a table to relearn and reflect the interests, approaches, assumptions,.. [More to come] ***
It is great to have the video recording, so I can enjoy the event, questions from the floor and at the reception, and come to the reflection and outlooks right away....

Der Dialog über die Eckpunkte für einen Marshallplan mit Afrika hat begonnen: Vergangene Woche hat Bundesentwicklungsminister Müller die Eckpunkte auf dem Deutsch-Afrikanischen Wirtschaftsgipfel in Nairobi vorgestellt und mit unseren afrikanischen Partnern diskutiert.
Bundespräsident a.D., Prof. Dr. Horst Köhler im BMZ zum Thema „Welt im Umbruch, Afrika im Aufbruch – passt unsere Entwicklungspolitik noch ins 21. Jahrhundert?“ sprechen. Prominente Gäste sind der Planungsminister Benins Bio Tchané und der Vorstandsvorsitzende von DHL, Amadou Diallo. Zu der Veranstaltung mit Bundespräsident a.D. Köhler hat das BMZ auch Jugendliche eingeladen, um mit ihnen unsere gemeinsame Zukunft mit Afrika in den Blick zu nehmen.
