I'd like to help connect those who change the world - between them and to the tools they may need.

That may have lots of operational power.

I may connect the global with the local. My sister has organised trips from the Canaries to England, so students may improve their English. So why not offer a trip to agriculture people so that they may go and learn what Rick Nelson is doing?

I may connect people to the tools they may need. I might write or link to reviews of tikiwiki, and also to places where you can have your service hosted with that tool, so NGOs and other people may use them.

What other areas might I cover?

It's good to have visions and implement them when the time is right.

This looks intriquing lugon, lots of features there. What is your connection with tikiwiki? How long has this software been out on the net?

There is a group in Vancouver that I've recently hooked up with, but I think they need some better software. {link:www.worklessparty.org|www.WorkLessParty.org} has some good people, they do things, they have a website, but the interactive area seems week. Mainly it is a movable type blog found under the {link:www.worklessparty.ca/wlitblog/|'study circles'} menu item (the link I've given takes you there direct). But it looks like this tikiwiki could provide a better service. Please tell me some more.

I asked in my LUG and tikiwiki is not perfect - ugly code inside, as a friend put it. But it's said to work, it's packed with features, and it's what Josef uses at http://www.uniteddiversity.org/ and his "coop" thing.

There was a review of different wiki-things at linuxtoday a few days ago. Can't find it right now.

I'm by no means an expert. But when I look at things then I can tell others. Or ask.

It's free software so it's a matter of trying it out, I guess.

Thanks for the portal Lugon. There is a lot of sophisticated software that is waiting to be used here. www.apc.org sounds interesting as does cc.tikiwiki.org and lots of others. Wow, there has been so much great stuff coming to fruition in the last couple of years.

Here's a {link:http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2004-11-06-001-26-OP-CY-SW&tbovrmode=1#talkback_area|review} of wikis.

Oh, and {link:http://linuxtoday.com/infrastructure/2004110800226RVNT|this}, too.
