THE FOREST GREEN: Green man in my garden |
Category: Thoughts 3 comments 27 Feb 2008 @ 20:37 by vaxen : I can...call it a lot of things, skookum. Gee I haven't been to your log space for awhile now and so... Unspoken agreements are like 'hidden contracts?' The Green Man is an ancient Keltic deity. Author of spring, akin to Pan, also known as El Hidr by the Arab speaking peoples. Geomythology at its' finest. Do you know Herne the hunter? Oh, you can get "The White Goddess" by Robert Graves here: http://www.truly-free.org/ which is a manual on 'Poetic Myth.' Therein you'll find 'the Greenman' and other 'poetic' things. Of course Graves defines poetry as "Religious invocation of the Muse." I do too... BTW you can get Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency there too. Written by Douglas Adams. And, of course, much, much, more. Might help you to grasp some deeper essentials of your being who you're being. Might not. Just for fun, anyway. Nice to have such a resource available. ;) Nice ta see ya skookum san. 29 Feb 2008 @ 09:30 by istvan : Green man? There is green alright in the garden, but it might not be a man or woman you are perceiving, only I suggest a green presence. This green presence is the essence of life as it supports your aliveness here. Name it and attaching it to a form is a legacy bound custom of the mind. bow down before it and thank it and it will continue to support you 1 Mar 2008 @ 06:15 by skookum : acutally...
