THE FOREST GREEN: For Illumination

That is true creativity.. when we access that part of ourselves that nothing else reaches.

For Illumination

The fire in me
Burns my heart

My lips parched
Without your kiss

My empty arms
Reach into the night

Begging in the dark
For illumination

A savior’s lonely task
To bring light again

With closed eyes
You gaze back

from one of The Rosemary Booklets, Sunglints on Life's Journey.. printed around 1900.

One thorn of experience is worth a whole wilderness of warning.

In the long run all love is paid by love,
Though undervalued by the hosts of earth;
The great eternal Government above
Keeps strict account, and will redeem its worth.
Give thy love freely: do not count the cost;
So beautiful a thing is never lost
In the long run.
