THE FOREST GREEN: The Frost

The Frost

When frost is scraped from a frigid window
There remains a shadow of each stroke
And when your back is turned
The ice forms again

A cycle of pointless freeze and melt
Rather like a life given no course
And when you close your eyes
The ice engulfs you
