Caretakers of the Light

Would my soul be wand’ring still,
Seeking warmth my soul to fill?
Alone amongst the darkened vine,
Feeling chills along the spine.
In the garden a glowing spout,
Seeing hands joined all about.
Fountain of fire to warm us all,
As one by one we heed the call.

To other realms our souls will fly,
And each other’s tears we’ll dry.
Like gentle strains of evensong,
To find at last where we belong.
Healing one another’s pain,
In a wondrous loving chain.
Center of peace to warm the night,
We: caretakers of the light.
