THE FOREST GREEN: Countless Roses
 Countless Roses5 comments

I gazed into a rose that bloomed along the gate.

And there, there in it’s glazed red petals
I could feel your love.
I thought for a moment of the countless roses
Over countless lands
That hold gentle love in their delicate blooms
Filling the warm breezes with sleepy scents

This love flows from the earth
Where all life springs
The roots of rebirth connect us all
And this rose of countless roses
Bears the love of endless spirits
And reminds me to release my fears
To send my searching soul down
And open my heart to love again

This flows so well and is so very rich in imagery. Something a person would want to commit to memory, i think. If poetry were gold, you'd be a rich lass, Marissa. Get yourself to a publisher!

4 May 2004 @ 22:48 by skookum : not much demand for poetry
publishers look for more exciting stuff lol .. but thank you very much for your kind words.

Poetry + music = SONG

interesting you should say that.. I do have a book at home on songwriting somewhere... I need to get that out. There are certain rules etc used in songwriting.. I don't have much formal education in writing as I was a science/math/engineering major.
