Out of My Mind: I Dreamed that George Bush was Popular |
Category: Articles 11 comments 25 Oct 2006 @ 21:15 by jmarc : he has the power to pardonand I always thought that a one time general amnesty for all non violent crimes would do the trick. The only party that will be able to pull off the legalization of weed would be the republican party, I think, Just as it was the only party that could achieve genuine peace with the Soviets. 26 Oct 2006 @ 16:09 by b : That would probably make him popular with potheads and the younger voters. It's hard to believe that change could occur is a second, but it can. Conservatives don't want change. Liberal left want chaos. No solutions there. 26 Oct 2006 @ 18:10 by jmarc : Paleo conservatives would be disenfranchised. If he did this he would gain those voters that you mentioned, yes, but the ultra die hard christians would have a hissy fit, no doubt. I think that it might be a net gain in the end though especially if he could convince those people to vote. They are probably the most under represented portion of the population at the voting booths, but doing this and accompanying it with the message that yes, your government does represent you, so please vote, might do the trick. Still I wonder what would the disenfranchised paleo conservatives do? Probably form a third party? That would be ok with me. I'd hate them to turn into suicide bombers or something like that. 26 Oct 2006 @ 18:37 by celestial : One thing for sure, Mr. Bush is going to have to do something radical in the next two years if he wants to change his legacy. 26 Oct 2006 @ 18:57 by jmarc : off topic B, are the fires in your area very near to you? 26 Oct 2006 @ 19:50 by b : Yes Jmac, the fires are close Today is also very windy in this valley which make them dangerous and unpredictale. For me, so far, it's ok. 26 Oct 2006 @ 23:33 by b : Hi Celestial Yes, he needs to be radical. Maybe he can legalize hate. 27 Oct 2006 @ 18:16 by celestial : Hi B (or is it Bee) I really enjoyed this article, sort of opens up his options...ha ha ha!!! You can bet they would legalize hate, and they will, as soon as they can tax it! I don't hate Mr. Bush but I sure do despise what he has done...a premptive strike based on a false premise; THAT IS CALLED BULLYING. What's coming because of it is dreadful (for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction). That principle applies to more than math and chemistry. 27 Oct 2006 @ 21:37 by b : B or Bee, either way Thanks Celestial When you mention what is coming because of the preemptive strike, I think that it has come already. U.S. is engaged in the ME, has been for a long time. When ME clerics in the mosques, ME heads of state, pals, call and demand the destruction of the country of Israel, the death of all the Jews and the destruction of USA so that they can loot, rape and slave our children, these people are being very clear. They say it over and over. Anyone can see the violence from their fervor. Yes, USA fights it. Call it what you will. You are free to do so. There are 56 Muslim conference nations in the UN that all have an agenda of hate. Love, sweet love, will have to wait. 3 Nov 2006 @ 22:01 by b : We Are the New Civilization We will make a defference. 4 Nov 2006 @ 00:57 by bushman : Hmm I think we already do, we just don't know it , directly. :} Other entries in Articles 2 Jun 2009 @ 22:38: Limited Government for Individuals 31 Mar 2008 @ 22:42: New Muslim Republic of Europe(forming) 10 Mar 2008 @ 22:03: Serbia Under Attack 15 Jan 2008 @ 23:07: I Told You So 27 Jul 2007 @ 21:32: New Civilizations Visions 11 May 2007 @ 21:30: New Civilizations 29 Dec 2006 @ 00:03: Greetings 15 Nov 2006 @ 23:01: The New Civilization # 3 13 Oct 2006 @ 21:51: The UN Picks A New Leader 5 Oct 2006 @ 18:41: Perceptions of Jews by Well-Known Gentiles
